Septum piercing pictures

Septum piercing refers to piercing of the middle of the nose. The allergic reaction that appears due to ingredients of cleaning products used in the vicinity of the septum perforation (soap, hydrogen peroxide, isopropyl alcohol, antibacterial, antiseptic, cosmetics, paint, pool chlorine, etc.. ) can be minimized by cleaning the piercing as recommended, without touching it with irritants.

A new septum piercing will be painful, swollen or red for several days or even weeks. Complete healing normally takes several weeks or more. During this period healing precautions must be taken. To avoid any infection:

• Wash hands thoroughly before handling the jewelry (Wash your hands with soap and water or antibacterial liquid);
• Gently move the jewelry in the shower only (do not remove it);
• Disinfect the area with a suitable product (do not use alcohol, Betadine or hydrogen peroxide).
